I visited Music City for a work trip and had 24 hours to conquer the town with my work bestie before heading back home. We landed around 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon, checked into our hotel and then headed to Whiskey Kitchen for drinks.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner row_type=”row” type=”full_width” use_row_as_full_screen_section_slide=”no” text_align=”left” css_animation=””][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”3136″ img_size=”large” qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_empty_space height=”150px”][vc_column_text]Such a cool lofty feel inside and obviously the spot to go for Happy Hour in the city. The bartenders had heavy hands, making my Vodka + Cranberry just right. After a few drinks, we walked across the street to Adele’s for dinner. The next morning, we went to Five Daughters Bakery and indulged in delicious 100-layer donuts. You have to love a good instagram find! We got the Birthday Cake and Maple Glaze flavors and I have never had a donut better than those in my entire life. Their flavors change occasionally according to the seasons, but I promise you won’t be disappointed regardless of what you try. And did I mention, how cute it is?!

After stuffing our faces with donuts, we walked around the 12 South area and ran into Draper James (Reese Witherspoon’s store). It’s so southern and welcoming – they offered me sweet tea when I walked in…umm, yes please! The store set up is every OCD person’s dream – color coordinated, every hanger hung perfectly, each item intentionally place – it’s as if you’ve just walked into your dream closet.

To finish our trip, we stopped by Hattie B’s for lunch. The line was out the door, literally – but well, worth the wait. And when you’re waiting in line in Music City, you make new friends. Like every other place we went to, the interior was adorable. The chicken…to die for. The mac ‘n cheese…I don’t even have the words.
